Our team has been busy tinkering with new ideas to upgrade TheBallot.org for 2013. We just submitted a grant proposal to Knight Foundation and we have 8 days left to incorporate feedback.
Hey - we’re supporting the Louisiana special election on December 8th. There are about 40 races going down.
We just got word that someone nominated TheBallot.org for Most Valuable Technology for New Organizing Institute’s RootsCamp. In order to actually win, we have to get votes.
So, if you dug TheBallot.org, show some love here.
Separately, if you want to join the meme-a-palooza to get people to vote for Most Valuable Technology, make your own here by voting, submitting a comment, and creating your own badge. (hint: type Hey Girl in your comment to make a Ryan Gos-meme)
We’ll be posting Thanksgiving-related memes about it throughout the week as you slowly slip into your tryptophan-induced coma, so stay tuned!
Social Voter Guides for the win! 145,000 people used TheBallot.org this election season, and we scraped right up against 50,000 Election Day users alone. DAMN.
Oh, and this happened:
#GoVote - and hit up www.TheBallot.org for polling places and ballot information.
Ever wonder how C-3PO would use www.TheBallot.org to vote on down-ballot races? We did too. Enjoy ~
Leave your mark on the future, son!

Good news, election afficionados. TheBallot.org now includes polling place information. So when you plug in your address, you’ll find out where to head on Election Day. Like this:
If we’ve got early vote locations for your address, we’ll show those, too:
We’re pulling this stuff from the Google Civic API. If you have any problems, let us know, of course.
